Fallen Hearts
A Sith Obikin Fest

TIMELINEDecember 20th - January 5th: prompting on AO3
January 6th - April 14th: creation period, WIPs welcome, claims will be allowed until the end of this period
April 15th - April 22nd: works reveals
April 23rd - April 30th: author revealsTHEME:a) This fest is focused on two points: the relationship between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker and the dark side of the Force and its users. Works should reflect both of these aspects.b) Other pairings can be mentioned for context/ background/ story evolution, but obikin / vaderwan should be the main ship. Moreover, at least one of these two characters should be connected to the dark side of the Force and/ or the Sith. Within that range, all variations are acceptable: reverse AU, Sith Lord Kenobi / Jedi Master Anakin, etc. To keep in line with the theme, AUs not taking place in AGFFA will not be accepted.c) Both SFW and NSFW works (including dead dove content) are welcome.d) Works can range between fanfics, fanarts and video edits.WRITTEN WORKS:a) Written works should be new stories - new chapters from ongoing fics are not allowed. However, works might be part of a fanfic series if they can be read as stand alone pieces, and as long as authors wait for the reveals to add them to their respective series on AO3.b) This fest does not have a minimum or maximum word count, nor a preferred format. Poems, one-shots, first chapters and even essays are all welcome as long as they are completed within the deadline.c) All content is allowed as long as authors are mindful and thorough with the tags. Fanfics lacking the appropriate tags might have their reveal delayed and authors might be asked to rectify their tagging.d) Authors’ identities should remain anonymous until the reveals. However, you are free (and encouraged!) to post parts of your work (WIPs), and if you’d like us to boost it please use the #sithobikin tag so that we might RT it.FANART AND VIDEO EDITS:a) Participants who will contribute with art work or video edits are also expected to observe the deadlines and the anonymity rule before the reveals.b) You are also free and encouraged to post your WIP and tag the festival!c) The final works can be posted in your platform of preference (YouTube, ko-fi, tumblr). You are also welcome to post it on AO3 connected to the prompt you’ve claimed! During the work reveals phase, please inform the mods where your worked has been posted so that we can also promote it on our social media accounts together with the written works.PROMPTING RULES:a) Prompts should ideally contain a general description of what is desired and wants and dont’s (DW and DNW). We ask that participants be mindful of authors’ creative freedoms, and therefore not make their prompts overly specific and long.b) Participants are allowed to specify any preferences they might have insofar as it is important to them - including rating, media format and ship dynamics. Please keep in mind that excessively specific prompts are more often than not rather challenging for authors to feel comfortable claiming. As per our experience in past festivals, some authors might refrain from taking claims which specify top/ bottom dynamics, while others appreciate having it stated.c) Although we have elected to keep prompting rules as open and welcoming as possible, we ask that participants be mindful and respectful of the fandom’s diversity. Mods might intervene when submitted prompts or their wording fail to reflect that.d) If you do not wish to claim any specific prompts, you can still be a part of the festival and claim the “self-prompt” option (i.e., you will decide all aspects of your work).e) We ask that participants refrain from claiming more than two initial prompts. More prompts may be subsequently claimed if you finished the work on the initial ones.
